2 Also zog5927 David1732 dahin mit seinen zweien Weibern802, Ahinoam293, der Jesreelitin3159, und mit Abigail26, Nabals5037, des Karmeliten3761, Weib802.

3 Dazu die3427 Männer582, die bei ihm waren, führete David1732 hinauf5927, einen jeglichen376 mit seinem Hause1004, und wohneten in den Städten5892 Hebrons2275.

3 And his men582 that were with him did David1732 bring5927 up, every man376 with his household:1004 and they dwelled3427 in the cities5892 of Hebron.2275

4 Und559 die582 Männer582 Judas kamen935 und salbeten daselbst David1732 zum Könige4428 über das Haus1004 Juda3063. Und da es David1732 ward4886 angesagt5046, daß die von Jabes in Gilead1568 Saul7586 begraben6912 hatten,

4 And the men582 of Judah3063 came,935 and there8033 they anointed4886 David1732 king4428 over5921 the house1004 of Judah.3063 And they told5046 David,1732 saying,559 That the men582 of Jabeshgilead3003 1568 were they that buried6912 Saul.7586

5 sandte er1732 Boten4397 zu ihnen582 und ließ7971 ihnen sagen559: Gesegnet1288 seid ihr dem HErrn3068, daß ihr solche Barmherzigkeit2617 an eurem HErrn113, Saul7586, getan6213 und ihn begraben6912 habt!

5 And David1732 sent7971 messengers4397 to the men582 of Jabeshgilead,3003 1568 and said559 to them, Blessed1288 be you of the LORD,3068 that you have showed6213 this2088 kindness2617 to your lord,113 even to Saul,7586 and have buried6912 him.

6 So tue6213 nun an euch der HErr3068 Barmherzigkeit2617 und Treue571; und ich will euch auch Gutes2896 tun6213, daß ihr solches1697 getan6213 habt.

6 And now6258 the LORD3068 show6213 kindness2617 and truth571 to you: and I also1571 will requite6213 you this2088 kindness,2896 because834 you have done6213 this2088 thing.1697

7 So seien nun eure Hände3027 getrost2388 und2428 seid freudig; denn euer Herr113, Saul7586, ist tot4191, so hat4886 mich das Haus1004 Juda3063 zum Könige4428 gesalbet über sich.

7 Therefore now6258 let your hands3027 be strengthened,2388 and be you valiant:1121 2428 for your master113 Saul7586 is dead,4191 and also1571 the house1004 of Judah3063 have anointed4886 me king4428 over5921 them.

8 Abner74 aber5369, der Sohn1121 Ners, der Sauls7586 Feldhauptmann8269 war5674, nahm3947 Isboseth, Sauls7586 Sohn1121, und führete ihn gen Mahanaim4266;

8 But Abner74 the son1121 of Ner,5369 captain8269 of Saul's7586 host,6635 took3947 Ishbosheth378 the son1121 of Saul,7586 and brought5674 him over5674 to Mahanaim;4266

9 und machte4427 ihn zum Könige über Gilead1568, Assuri, Jesreel3157, Ephraim669, Benjamin1144 und über ganz Israel3478.

10 Und Isboseth, Sauls7586 Sohn1121, war vierzig705 Jahre8141 alt1121, da310 er König4427 ward4427 über Israel3478; und regierete zwei8147 Jahre8141. Aber das Haus1004 Juda3063 hielt es mit David1732.

12 Und1121 Abner74, der Sohn1121 Ners5369, zog aus3318 samt den Knechten5650 Isboseths, des Sohns Sauls7586, aus dem Heer gen Gibeon1391;

12 And Abner74 the son1121 of Ner,5369 and the servants5650 of Ishbosheth378 the son1121 of Saul,7586 went3318 out from Mahanaim4266 to Gibeon.1391

13 und Joab3097, der Sohn1121 Zerujas, zog aus3318 samt3162 den Knechten5650 Davids1732; und stießen6298 aufeinander am Teich1295 zu Gibeon1391, und legten sich3427 diese auf dieser Seite des Teiches, jene auf jener Seite.

14 Und Abner74 sprach559 zu Joab3097: Laß sich6965 die Knaben5288 aufmachen6965 und vor6440 uns spielen7832. Joab3097 sprach559: Es gilt wohl.

14 And Abner74 said559 to Joab,3097 Let the young5288 men now4994 arise,6965 and play7832 before6440 us. And Joab3097 said,559 Let them arise.6965

15 Da machten sich auf6965 und1121 gingen hin5674 an der Zahl4557 zwölf6240 aus Benjamin1144, auf Isboseths, Sauls7586 Sohns, Teil, und zwölf6240 von den Knechten5650 Davids1732.
|
15 Then there arose6965 and went5674 over5674 by number4557 twelve8147 6240 of Benjamin,1144 which pertained to Ishbosheth378 the son1121 of Saul,7586 and twelve8147 6240 of the servants5650 of David.1732

16 Und ein376 jeglicher ergriff2388 den andern7453 bei dem Kopf7218 und stieß ihm sein Schwert2719 in seine Seite6654, und fielen5307 miteinander3162. Daher der Ort4725 genannt7121 wird: Helkath-Hazurim, der zu Gibeon1391 ist.

16 And they caught2388 every376 one376 his fellow7453 by the head,7218 and thrust his sword2719 in his fellow's7453 side;6654 so they fell5307 down together:3162 why that place4725 was called7121 Helkathhazzurim,2521 which834 is in Gibeon.1391

17 Und es erhub sich ein sehr3966 harter7186 Streit4421 des Tages3117. Abner74 aber und die Männer582 Israels3478 wurden geschlagen5062 vor6440 den Knechten5650 Davids1732.

17 And there was a very3966 sore7186 battle4421 that day;3117 and Abner74 was beaten,5062 and the men582 of Israel,3478 before6440 the servants5650 of David.1732

|
18 Es waren aber drei7969 Söhne1121 Zerujas daselbst: Joab3097, Abisai52 und Asahel6214. Asahel6214 aber war von leichten7031 Füßen7272, wie ein259 Reh6643 auf dem Felde7704;

18 And there were three7969 sons1121 of Zeruiah6870 there,8033 Joab,3097 and Abishai,52 and Asahel:6214 and Asahel6214 was as light7031 of foot7272 as a wild7704 roe.6643

|
19 und6214 jagte Abner74 nach7291 und310 wich5186 nicht weder zur Rechten3225 noch3212 zur Linken8040 von Abner74.
|
19 And Asahel6214 pursued7291 after310 Abner;74 and in going3212 he turned5186 not to the right3225 hand3225 nor to the left8040 from following310 Abner.74

20 Da310 wandte sich Abner74 um6437 und sprach559: Bist du Asahel6214? Er sprach559: Ja.
|
20 Then Abner74 looked6437 behind310 him, and said,559 Are you Asahel?6214 And he answered,559 I am.
|
|
21 Abner74 sprach559 zu ihm: Heb dich entweder zur Rechten3225 oder zur Linken8040; und310 nimm270 für dich der Knaben5288 einen259 und nimm3947 ihm seinen Harnisch. Aber Asahel6214 wollte14 nicht5493 von ihm ablassen.

21 And Abner74 said559 to him, Turn5186 you aside5186 to your right3225 hand3225 or176 to your left,8040 and lay you hold270 on one259 of the young5288 men, and take3947 you his armor.2488 But Asahel6214 would14 not turn5493 aside from following310 of him.

22 Da310 sprach559 Abner74 weiter3254 zu Asahel6214: Heb dich5493 von mir6440! Warum willst du, daß ich dich zu Boden schlage5221? und776 wie dürfte ich mein Antlitz aufheben5375 vor deinem Bruder251 Joab3097?
|
22 And Abner74 said559 again3254 5750 to Asahel,6214 Turn5493 you aside from following310 me: why4100 should I smite5221 you to the ground?776 how349 then should I hold5375 up my face6440 to Joab3097 your brother?251
|
|
23 Aber er5493 weigerte sich3985 zu4191 weichen. Da310 stach ihn Abner74 hinter sich5307 mit einem Spieß2595 in seinen Wanst, daß der Spieß2595 hinten ausging3318; und er fiel5307 daselbst5975 und starb4191 vor ihm8478. Und wer an413 den Ort4725 kam935, da Asahel6214 tot lag, der stund stille.

23 However, he refused3985 to turn5493 aside: why Abner74 with the hinder310 end of the spear2595 smote5221 him under413 the fifth2570 rib, that the spear2595 came3318 out behind310 him; and he fell5307 down there,8033 and died4191 in the same8478 place:8478 and it came1961 to pass, that as many as came935 to the place4725 where834 8033 Asahel6214 fell5307 down and died4191 stood5975 still.

24 Aber Joab3097 und Abisai52 jagten Abner74 nach7291, bis935 die Sonne8121 unterging. Und da310 sie kamen935 auf6440 den Hügel1389 Amma522, der vor Giah1520 lieget, auf dem Wege1870 zur Wüste4057 Gibeon1391,

24 Joab3097 also and Abishai52 pursued7291 after310 Abner:74 and the sun8121 went935 down when they were come935 to the hill1389 of Ammah,522 that lies before5921 6440 Giah1520 by the way1870 of the wilderness4057 of Gibeon.1391

25 versammelten sich6908 die Kinder1121 Benjamin1144 hinter310 Abner74 her und wurden ein259 Häuflein und traten auf5975 eines Hügels1389 Spitze7218.

25 And the children1121 of Benjamin1144 gathered6908 themselves together after310 Abner,74 and became1961 one259 troop,92 and stood5975 on5921 the top7218 of an hill.1389
|
|
26 Und310 Abner74 rief7121 zu Joab3097 und sprach559: Soll denn das Schwert2719 ohne Ende5331 fressen398? Weißest du nicht, daß hernach314 möchte mehr Jammers werden7725? Wie3045 lange willst du dem Volk5971 nicht sagen559, daß es ablasse von seinen Brüdern251?

26 Then Abner74 called7121 to Joab,3097 and said,559 Shall the sword2719 devour398 for ever?5331 know3045 you not that it will be bitterness4751 in the latter314 end? how5704 long5704 shall it be then, ere3808 you bid559 the people5971 return7725 from following310 their brothers?251

|
27 Joab3097 sprach1696: So wahr GOtt430 lebet, hättest du3884 heute morgen1242 so gesagt559, das Volk5971 hätte, ein376 jeglicher von seinem Bruder251, abgelassen310.
|
27 And Joab3097 said,559 As God430 lives,2416 unless3588 3884 you had spoken,1696 surely3588 then in the morning1242 the people5971 had gone5927 up every376 one376 from following310 his brother.251
|
|
28 Und5975 Joab3097 blies8628 die Posaune7782, und310 alles Volk5971 stund stille und jagten nicht3254 mehr Israel3478 nach7291 und stritten3898 auch nicht mehr.
|
28 So Joab3097 blew8628 a trumpet,7782 and all3605 the people5971 stood5975 still, and pursued7291 after310 Israel3478 no3808 more,5750 neither3808 fought3898 they any more.3243 5750

29 Abner74 aber und seine Männer582 gingen1980 dieselbe ganze Nacht3915 über5674 das Blachfeld6160 und gingen3212 über den Jordan3383; und wandelten durch935 das ganze Bithron1338 und kamen ins Lager.
|
29 And Abner74 and his men582 walked1980 all3605 that night3915 through the plain,6160 and passed5674 over5674 Jordan,3383 and went3212 through all3605 Bithron,1338 and they came935 to Mahanaim.4266

|
30 Joab3097 aber wandte sich7725 von Abner74 und310 versammelte6908 das ganze Volk5971; und6908 es fehleten an den Knechten5650 Davids1732 neunzehn Mann376 und Asahel6214.
|
30 And Joab3097 returned7725 from following310 Abner:74 and when he had gathered6908 all3605 the people5971 together, there lacked6485 of David's1732 servants5650 nineteen8672 6240 men376 and Asahel.6214
|
|
31 Aber die Knechte5650 Davids1732 hatten geschlagen5221 unter Benjamin1144 und3967 den Männern582 Abners74, daß dreihundertundsechzig7969 Mann376 waren tot geblieben4191.

31 But the servants5650 of David1732 had smitten5221 of Benjamin,1144 and of Abner's74 men,582 so that three7969 hundred3967 and three score8346 men376 died.4191
|
|
32 Und sie huben Asahel6214 auf5375 und begruben6912 ihn in seines Vaters1 Grabe6913 zu Bethlehem1035. Und Joab3097 mit seinen Männern582 gingen3212 die ganze Nacht3915, daß ihnen das Licht anbrach215 zu Hebron2275.

32 And they took5375 up Asahel,6214 and buried6912 him in the sepulcher6913 of his father,1 which834 was in Bethlehem.1035 And Joab3097 and his men582 went3212 all3605 night,3915 and they came935 to Hebron2275 at break215 of day.215
