9 Vermag3201 er wider mich zu streiten3898, und schlägt5221 mich, so wollen wir eure Knechte5650 sein; vermag3201 ich aber wider ihn und schlage5221 ihn, so sollt ihr unsere Knechte5650 sein, daß ihr uns dienet5647.

24 Aber jedermann in Israel3478, wenn er376 den Mann376 sah7200, floh5127 er vor6440 ihm und fürchtete3372 sich sehr3966.

24 And all3605 the men376 of Israel,3478 when they saw7200 the man,376 fled5127 from him, and were sore3966 afraid.3372

|
25 Und376 jedermann in Israel3478 sprach559: Habt ihr den Mann376 gesehen herauftreten5927? Denn er376 ist heraufgetreten, Israel3478 Hohn2778 zu sprechen. Und wer ihn schlägt5221, den will7200 der König4428 sehr1419 reich6238 machen5927 und ihm seine Tochter1323 geben5414 und will seines Vaters1 Haus1004 frei2670 machen6213 in Israel3478.

25 And the men376 of Israel3478 said,559 Have you seen7200 this2088 man376 that is come5927 up? surely3588 to defy2778 Israel3478 is he come5927 up: and it shall be, that the man376 who834 kills5221 him, the king4428 will enrich6238 him with great1419 riches,6239 and will give5414 him his daughter,1323 and make6213 his father's1 house1004 free2670 in Israel.3478

26 Da sprach559 David1732 zu4634 den Männern582, die bei ihm stunden: Was wird man559 dem tun6213, der diesen1975 Philister6430 schlägt5221 und376 die Schande2781 von Israel3478 wendet5493? Denn wer ist5975 der Philister6430, dieser Unbeschnittene6189, der den Zeug des lebendigen2416 Gottes430 höhnet?

26 And David1732 spoke559 to the men582 that stood5975 by him, saying,559 What4100 shall be done6213 to the man376 that kills5221 this1975 Philistine,6430 and takes5493 away the reproach2781 from Israel?3478 for who4310 is this2088 uncircumcised6189 Philistine,6430 that he should defy2778 the armies4634 of the living2416 God?430

27 Da sagte559 ihm das1697 Volk5971 wie vorhin: So wird man559 tun6213 dem376, der ihn schlägt5221.

27 And the people5971 answered559 him after this2088 manner,1697 saying,559 So3541 shall it be done6213 to the man376 that kills5221 him.

28 Und7455 Eliab446, sein größter Bruder251 hörete ihn reden1696 mit den Männern582 und ergrimmete mit Zorn639 wider David1732 und sprach559: Warum bist du herabkommen3381? und warum hast8085 du die2007 wenigen4592 Schafe6629 dort in der Wüste4057 verlassen5203? Ich kenne3045 deine Vermessenheit2087 wohl und deines Herzens3824 Bosheit. Denn du bist herabkommen3381, daß du den Streit4421 sehest7200.

28 And Eliab446 his oldest1419 brother251 heard8085 when he spoke1696 to the men;582 and Eliab's446 anger639 was kindled2734 against David,1732 and he said,559 Why4100 came3381 you down3381 here? and with whom4310 have you left5203 those2007 few4592 sheep6629 in the wilderness?4057 I know3045 your pride,2087 and the naughtiness7455 of your heart;3824 for you are come3381 down3381 that you might see7200 the battle.4421

29 David1732 antwortete559: Was habe1697 ich denn nun getan6213? Ist mir‘s nicht befohlen?

30 Und wandte sich5437 von ihm gegen einen andern312 und sprach, wie7223 er vorhin gesagt559 hatte1697. Da7725 antwortete ihm das1697 Volk5971 wie vorhin.

31 Und da sie8085 die Worte1697 höreten, die David1732 sagte1696, verkündigten5046 sie3947 es vor6440 Saul7586, und er ließ ihn holen.

31 And when the words1697 were heard8085 which834 David1732 spoke,1696 they rehearsed5046 them before6440 Saul:7586 and he sent3947 for him.

32 Und David1732 sprach559 zu Saul7586: Es entfalle5307 keinem Menschen120 das Herz3820 um deswillen; dein Knecht5650 soll hingehen3212 und mit dem Philister6430 streiten3898.

32 And David1732 said559 to Saul,7586 Let no408 man's120 heart3820 fail5307 because5921 of him; your servant5650 will go3212 and fight3898 with this2088 Philistine.6430

|
33 Saul7586 aber sprach559 zu David1732: Du kannst3201 nicht hingehen3212 wider diesen Philister6430, mit ihm zu streiten3898; denn du bist ein376 Knabe5288, dieser aber ist ein Kriegsmann4421 von seiner Jugend5271 auf.
|
33 And Saul7586 said559 to David,1732 You are not able3201 to go3212 against413 this2088 Philistine6430 to fight3898 with him: for you are but a youth,5288 and he a man376 of war4421 from his youth.5271

34 David1732 aber sprach559 zu Saul7586: Dein Knecht5650 hütete7462 der Schafe5739 seines Vaters1, und es kam935 ein Löwe738 und ein Bär1677 und trug5375 ein Schaf7716 weg von der Herde6629.
|
34 And David1732 said559 to Saul,7586 Your servant5650 kept7462 his father's1 sheep,6629 and there came935 a lion,738 and a bear,1677 and took5375 a lamb7716 out of the flock:5739

35 Und ich lief ihm nach310 und schlug5221 ihn und errettete5337 es aus3318 seinem Maul6310. Und da er2388 sich6965 über mich machte, ergriff ich ihn bei seinem Bart2206 und schlug5221 ihn und tötete4191 ihn.
|
35 And I went3318 out after310 him, and smote5221 him, and delivered5337 it out of his mouth:6310 and when he arose6965 against5921 me, I caught2388 him by his beard,2206 and smote5221 him, and slew4191 him.
|
|
36 Also hat dein Knecht5650 geschlagen beide den Löwen738 und den Bären1677. So soll nun dieser Philister6430, der Unbeschnittene6189, sein gleichwie deren einer259, denn er5221 hat geschändet2778 den Zeug des lebendigen2416 Gottes430.
|
36 Your servant5650 slew5221 both1571 the lion738 and the bear:1677 and this2088 uncircumcised6189 Philistine6430 shall be as one259 of them, seeing3588 he has defied2778 the armies4634 of the living2416 God.430

37 Und7586 David1732 sprach559: Der HErr3068, der mich von3027 dem3027 Löwen738 und559 Bären1677 errettet hat, der wird3212 mich auch5337 erretten5337 von3027 diesem Philister6430.
|
37 David1732 said559 moreover, The LORD3068 that delivered5337 me out of the paw3027 of the lion,738 and out of the paw3027 of the bear,1677 he will deliver5337 me out of the hand3027 of this2088 Philistine.6430 And Saul7586 said559 to David,1732 Go,3212 and the LORD3068 be with you.

38 Und4055 Saul7586 sprach zu David1732: Gehe hin, der HErr sei mit dir! Und5178 Saul zog3847 David seine Kleider an und setzte5414 ihm einen ehernen Helm6959 auf sein Haupt7218 und legte3847 ihm einen Panzer8302 an.

38 And Saul7586 armed3847 David1732 with his armor,4055 and he put5414 an helmet6959 of brass5178 on his head;7218 also he armed3847 him with a coat8302 of mail.

|
39 Und4055 David1732 gürtete sein2296 Schwert2719 über seine Kleider und fing an2974 zu gehen3212, denn er1732 hatte es nie versucht5254. Da sprach559 David1732 zu Saul7586: Ich kann3201 nicht5493 also gehen3212, denn ich bin‘s nicht gewohnt; und legte es von sich.

39 And David1732 girded2296 his sword2719 on his armor,4055 and he assayed2974 to go;3212 for he had not proved5254 it. And David1732 said559 to Saul,7586 I cannot3808 go3212 with these;428 for I have not proved5254 them. And David1732 put5493 them off5921 him.

40 And he took3947 his staff4731 in his hand,3027 and chose977 him five2568 smooth2512 stones68 out of the brook,5158 and put7760 them in a shepherd's7462 bag3627 which834 he had, even in a money;3219 and his sling7050 was in his hand:3027 and he drew near5066 to the Philistine.6430

42 Da nun der Philister6430 sah5027 und4758 schauete David1732 an7200, verachtete959 er ihn. Denn er war ein Knabe5288, bräunlich132 und schön3303.
|
42 And when the Philistine6430 looked5027 about,5027 and saw7200 David,1732 he disdained959 him: for he was but a youth,5288 and ruddy,132 and of a fair3303 countenance.4758
|
|
43 Und6430 der Philister6430 sprach559 zu David1732: Bin ich denn ein Hund3611, daß du mit Stecken4731 zu mir kommst935? Und fluchte7043 dem David1732 bei seinem GOtt430.

43 And the Philistine6430 said559 to David,1732 Am I a dog,3611 that you come935 to me with staves?4731 And the Philistine6430 cursed7043 David1732 by his gods.430
|
|
44 Und6430 sprach559 zu David1732: Komm3212 her zu mir, ich will dein Fleisch1320 geben5414 den Vögeln5775 unter dem Himmel8064 und den Tieren929 auf dem Felde7704!
|
44 And the Philistine6430 said559 to David,1732 Come3212 to me, and I will give5414 your flesh1320 to the fowls5775 of the air,8064 and to the beasts929 of the field.7704
|
|
45 David1732 aber sprach559 zu4634 dem Philister6430: Du kommst935 zu mir mit Schwert2719, Spieß2595 und Schild3591; ich aber komme935 zu dir im Namen8034 des HErrn3068 Zebaoth6635, des Gottes430 des Zeuges Israels3478, den du gehöhnet hast2778.

45 Then said559 David1732 to the Philistine,6430 You come935 to me with a sword,2719 and with a spear,2595 and with a shield:3591 but I come935 to you in the name8034 of the LORD3068 of hosts,6635 the God430 of the armies4634 of Israel,3478 whom834 you have defied.2778
|
|
46 Heutigestages3117 wird3045 dich5462 der HErr3068 in meine Hand3027 überantworten, daß ich dich schlage5221 und6297 nehme5493 dein Haupt7218 von dir und gebe5414 den Leichnam des Heers der Philister6430 heute3117 den Vögeln5775 unter dem Himmel8064 und dem Wild2416 auf Erden776, daß alles Land776 inne werde, daß Israel3478 einen GOtt430 hat3426,

46 This2088 day3117 will the LORD3068 deliver5462 you into my hand;3027 and I will smite5221 you, and take5493 your head7218 from you; and I will give5414 the carcasses6297 of the host4264 of the Philistines6430 this2088 day3117 to the fowls5775 of the air,8064 and to the wild2416 beasts2416 of the earth;776 that all3605 the earth776 may know3045 that there is a God430 in Israel.3478

47 und daß alle diese Gemeine inne werde, daß der HErr3068 nicht durch Schwert2719 noch Spieß2595 hilft3467; denn der Streit4421 ist des HErrn3068, und wird3045 euch geben5414 in unsere Hände3027.
|
47 And all3605 this2088 assembly6951 shall know3045 that the LORD3068 saves3467 not with sword2719 and spear:2595 for the battle4421 is the LORD's,3068 and he will give5414 you into our hands.3027
|
|
48 Da sich6965 nun der Philister6430 aufmachte, ging3212 daher und nahete sich7126 gegen7125 David1732, eilete David1732 und lief7323 vom Zeuge gegen7125 den Philister6430.
|
48 And it came1961 to pass, when3588 the Philistine6430 arose,6965 and came,3212 and drew near7126 to meet7125 David,1732 that David1732 hastened,4116 and ran7323 toward the army4634 to meet7125 the Philistine.6430
|
|
49 Und David1732 tat7971 seine Hand3027 in die Tasche3627 und nahm3947 einen Stein68 daraus und schleuderte7049 und traf den Philister6430 an seine Stirn4696, daß der Stein68 in seine Stirn4696 fuhr2883, und er5221 zur Erde776 fiel5307 auf6440 sein Angesicht.

49 And David1732 put7971 his hand3027 in his bag,3627 and took3947 there8033 a stone,68 and slang7049 it, and smote5221 the Philistine6430 in his forehead,4696 that the stone68 sunk2883 into his forehead;4696 and he fell5307 on his face6440 to the earth.776

50 Also überwand2388 David1732 den Philister6430 mit der Schleuder7050 und6430 mit dem Stein68; und schlug5221 ihn und tötete4191 ihn. Und da David1732 kein Schwert2719 in seiner Hand3027 hatte,

50 So David1732 prevailed2388 over4480 the Philistine6430 with a sling7050 and with a stone,68 and smote5221 the Philistine,6430 and slew4191 him; but there was no369 sword2719 in the hand3027 of David.1732

51 lief7323 er1732 und trat5975 zu dem Philister6430 und nahm3947 sein4191 Schwert2719 und zog es aus3772 der Scheide8593 und tötete4191 ihn und hieb ihm8025 den Kopf7218 damit ab. Da aber die Philister6430 sahen7200, daß ihr Stärkster1368 tot war, flohen5127 sie.

51 Therefore David1732 ran,7323 and stood5975 on the Philistine,6430 and took3947 his sword,2719 and drew8025 it out of the sheath8593 thereof, and slew4191 him, and cut3772 off his head7218 therewith. And when the Philistines6430 saw7200 their champion1368 was dead,4191 they fled.5127
